The place to be to talk all things "...L Word". Here, we express our love for the show, the actors, and the many people involved in the show. Above all, we try to be civil and respectful with all of our views.
HIPS....OMG!!!!! Be still my heart! Yes ma'am, lock me up P L E A S E. Clips of her new TV series continue to pop up during commercial breaks and they still catch me off guard and leave me panting (hahaha). Thank You for the picture, now if I can just get my heart back to a normal rhythm.

ReplyDeleteLOST, nice to see you agree and have joined the bandwagon.
Anyone for a trip to Chi town???? One of my favorite cities and now even more so. But then, afraid I would truly have a heart attack should I actually see her in the flesh, oops, I mean in person :-))).
Hey peeps, do yourself a favor and go to MORE.com (it's a magazine for those who don't know) type in Jennifer Beals and read the interview she did on 12-30-10. The interviewer did a great job and as usual, JB is her usual kind, selfless and humble self.
NOW who has the handcuffs??????
HAPPY NEW YEAR LADIES.
gofigor,
ReplyDeleteI'm down for a trip to Chi-Town. It sounds like you've been there before. Let me know when you're going on a road trip. I'll pay for the gas!!! LOL
I read that interview in More magazine. You know I had to get a copy. JB is one magnificent woman. We are very, very lucky to have her in our universe. She always bring a smile to my face and a warmth to my heart whenever I see her.
I saw a long version promo of The Chicago Code last night. Jennifer is H O T and she's got a mean swagger!!! Her strut screams, "Yeah, f**k with my town. You better be ready because your ass is mine!!!" Some of her Bette persona shines through, too. I had to laugh when I saw that. She is so cute when those mannerisms come out. I don't think that will ever go away. To tell the truth, I believe Jennifer is Bette. I think that she put a lot of herself in that role. No one could have portrayed Bette better than Jennifer. But, of course, I am jaded.
Hope you had a wonderful New Year's. I enjoyed mine watching the ball drop in Times Square on TV. It was nice.
Here's wishing you and all our peeps a prosperous new year!!!
Peace
HARLEM....I have wonderful memories of my me and my mom taking a couple trips a year to Chicago. It is only about a 5 hour drive from where I am. We would dine at fine restaurants; take in a couple of stage plays and shop. It is a metropolitan city for sure. There is always activity and the downtown area is alive and bustling with people from all over the world. REMIND ME AGAIN WHERE YOU LIVE. As for gas, it is $3.20 a gal. where I am so you may want to reconsider your offer....hahahaha.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you about JB. I see a lot of Bette's expressions and mannerisms in her new role and I too think that there is a lot of Bette in JB.
New Year's Eve was quiet, haven't seen midnight in years, not a party person, and find it no big deal for me. Glad that you enjoyed yourself. Maybe you should add to your bucket list to be IN Times Square next year to see the ball drop in person.
Looking for our fellow peeps, Lost are you lost? Gia, school keeping you away? Fatty, where are you girl you have been MIA for a while. Dali, you teased us with a surprise visit. Come back.
HIPS....my heart is just now back to a normal rhythm but if you have more hot pix up your sleeve I would be willing to take the risk on my heart to view them.....:-)))))) Also would love to see you post here, your words are always so profound and articulate.
Bye for now everyone.
gofigor,
ReplyDeleteYour visits to Chicago sounds wonderful. I am sure that I too would love all that Chicago has to offer. We have much of the same attractions where I am. You tend to take it for granted because you know it is there. I am trying to visit my neck of the woods like as if I am a visitor. BTW, I am born and raised in NYC!!! Yeah, baby!!!
That road trip to Chi-town would take me 10 hours to drive. Gas is $3.35 a gal here. I would still pay for the gas. Just let me know when the trip is going to happen.!!! ;)
Times Square is usually a mob of people. Too many for my taste. It was unusually warm this New Year's but when I decided to go, most of the streets had been closed off by police. You had to be there early to get a spot. I might consider going next year. How could I say that I am a New Yorker without going to Times Square or the Thanksgiving Parade, which I have not gone to see, either? I'm adding these events to my bucket list. Thanks, Gofigor!!!
I hope all of our peeps are doing well. Everyone seems to be busy since the holidays started. Life is coming front and center for all of us. Hopefully, we can all keep in touch to keep our spirits high!!!
Best to all my peeps.
Peace
